I want something with excellent quality but that I’m not gonna spend a fortune for and preferrably something I won’t have to order online (I’m right near a Bass Pro that has a good stock). I have a very old bamboo fly rod that was my great grandfather’s. It has red banding around the eyes. The eyes are different than any i have seen before, being that they are loose rings that are wired to the rod itself. There are no markings on it whatsoever. It is 11 feet long and in a form fitted green case that has leather bands to hold the rod in place. It is 3 sections and breaks down to 45 inches. Extra end section too. any info would be great.

I’m trying to track down a bamboo fly rod mfg by horrocks ibbotson. I know they’re not the most desirable rods but I have ties to the company. I’ve tried ebay but a lot of time it’s people unloading junk. The condition is important but not the only thing. I’m looking for either the President or Chancellor model from circa 1920-30. These rods had the silver reel seat with the utica emblem engraved in it. Any leads on this would be greatly appreciated.
